You've probably never heard of it before...

I start today as I start many days - contemplating the best way to build a rocket ship so I can leave this fucking planet.

I am constantly surrounded by insanity, and whenever I try to address it, I get all these weird looks. Anybody else experience this phenomenon? Anyways, I'll get right to it:

What the everliving fuck is a Hipsterhood? Can we just stop the madness?

I mean, I get it - you're so uniquely different that you require to belong to a like culture so you know you're not alone being so uniquely different. How can you hold true to your beliefs if you don't have access to farmer's markets and have neighbors with ironic mustaches and vintage bikes? The world is a cruel, cruel place. And if you're going to swim against the current, you might as well head for the hurricane that's going the same way you are.

Why must we accept this manufactured culture that is force-fed to us by the media? Are none of us capable of independent thought? I suspect that we are more comfortable being led on a leash to the pockets of reality that appear to be more acceptable. We are driven by the fear of not belonging, and in turn, we end up just where they want us.

Would it be so crazy to develop our own culture? What would it be like? Would it even be possible? What can be done with our fragments of freedom?
